@LUFCDATA has revealed some of the numbers behind Kyle Bartley’s impressive season with Leeds United, proving why the Whites must look to secure the defender on a permanent contract this summer.
Bartley joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Swansea City last July and has been a colossus for Garry Monk’s side this year, as they went in touching distance of qualifying for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs.
The 25-year old is Leeds’ second highest goalscorer this season with six goals, which is matched by Pablo Hernandez and Souleymane Doukara and only bettered by 29-goal striker Chris Wood.

It hasn’t just been Bartley’s ability to score important goals that has been impressive, he has been a rock in defence all season for Leeds, forming an excellent partnership with Pontus Jansson.
Bartley has won the most headers for Leeds this season with 161, and has also made the most interceptions and blocks for Monk’s side.
Following this weekend’s clash with Wigan Athletic, Bartley will return to Swansea, with his future at Elland Road in serious doubt heading into the summer transfer window.
