Burnley have signed West Brom forward Jay Rodriguez for a fee that will reach £10m.

The Baggies confirmed that the 22-goal striker had completed a move back to the Premier League on their official site this afternoon and it ends Rodriguez's two-year stay at The Hawthorns.

The 29-year-old arrived from Southampton and scored seven goals as Albion were relegated in his first season.

Many expected Rodriguez to leave then, with the Clarets actually having a £16m bid for the player rejected, however the forward decided to stay put in order to help Albion's promotion push.

And, despite his best efforts, the west Midlands outfit would fall short, losing to local rivals Aston Villa in the play-off semi-final.

Following that, a move seemed inevitable and Rodriguez joins Craig Dawson as a high-profile player leaving the club.

As you would expect, most fans are sad to see the player go and they certainly have appreciated his efforts over the years.
