Middlesbrough are said to be one of the teams interested in signing Charlton forward, Karlan Grant this month according to the Daily Mail (23/1/19, page 65).
It will come as no surprise to see Grant attracting interest from Championship clubs in this month's transfer window, as he has been in remarkable form for the Addicks this season.
The striker has 14 goals to his name so far in all competitions, and his goals have fired Lee Bowyer's side into promotion contention which will be pleasing to see for Charlton supporters.
Middlesbrough are likely to be in need of signing a striker this month, with recent reports emerging from the Northern Echo, that Tony Pulis is looking to move on a number of the high-earners at the club.
Britt Assombalonga and Ashely Fletcher are among those rumoured to be made available to other clubs as Pulis looks to trim the current wage bill.
If the pair were to depart, this would leave Boro needing to sign a striker, and Grant could prove to be an interesting signing for Boro.
But would Grant be a good addition to the Middlesbrough squad?

"I wouldn't recommend anyone goes to Boro.
"Having seen how they've treated Assombalonga and Braithwaite, I'd avoid them like the plague.
"He should stay put, regular football counts for a lot and it's only a year ago that he was in League Two with Crawley."

"This move could ruin him.
"There's no doubting that Grant has the ability to be playing regular first-team football in the Championship, but Middlesbrough shouldn't be considered if I was him.
"Boro wouldn't give him enough game time to develop, and he wouldn't be getting in the starting XI ahead of the likes of Britt Assombalonga or Jordan Hugill."
George Harbey:
This could be the signing that Middlesbrough need.
Grant has been incredible for Charlton this season, contributing to plenty of goals from either up front, or out wide, or even behind the striker.
Britt Assombalonga has failed to make an impact this season, so why not give Grant a chance?
