Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has certainly got his side firing early-on in the Championship campaign, with the Whites sitting on top of the table, unbeaten after four rounds of fixtures.

One player who is seemingly not part of Bielsa's immediate plans though, is 20-year-old striker Rafa Mujica who has finalised a move to Spanish side Extremadura UD on a season-long loan, as confirmed by the club.

So is Bielsa right to offload Mujica after only just signing him in the summer?

We discuss........

George Dagless

"Could be.

"He's a good young player and Leeds evidently feel as though he could be one for the future - but not the present.

"The Whites have got some very good young players at the club at the moment but if they are not going to figure in the first team - as some have under Marcelo Bielsa - than a loan move makes sense.

"This should be a move that benefits all that are involved."

George Brooks

"This makes a lot of sense. Mujica is a talented footballer - Leeds wouldn't have signed him from Barcelona if they didn't think he had potential to be a good player.

"He probably wasn't going to get a chance at Elland Road this season though, so sending him out on loan will hopefully allow him to experience regular first-team football, which is so important at this stage of any young player's career.

"As long as he goes somewhere where he will get a chance, I think it's the right move. If not, he might be better off staying at Leeds and trying to progress through their development squad.

"Leeds have got some talented players in their academy and a good coach Carlos Corberan should be able to improve him also."

Jacob Potter

"This is the right call from Leeds if true.

"Mujica isn’t going to be able to move Kiko Casilla from his starting spot at Elland Road, and it’s good to see the club looking to help aid his development by loaning him out.

"I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Whites looking to give him experience in English football either, and a loan to a League One or Two team could be on the cards potentially.

"Leeds have enough quality in their other younger goalkeepers to step in if Casilla gets injured.

"Mujica will have known that he wasn’t in Leeds’ immediate plans to start for the first-team, so it seems as though it’s only a matter of time before he is to move out on loan this season."
