Nottingham Forest were one of the busiest clubs in the Sky Bet Championship over the course of the summer transfer window, with the Reds bringing in 12 new faces.

Following the appointment of Sabri Lamouchi at the City Ground, the East Midlands side were very active when it came to recruiting new players, who have played their parts in helping Forest climb into the automatic promotion spots heading into the second international break of the campaign.

One of their final signings of the window was a defender - Carl Jenkinson arriving from Premier League side Arsenal, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal on Trentside.

Here, we take a look at how Forest fans reacted to the arrival of Jenkinson, and how his time at the City Ground has panned out since his move from the Emirates Stadium.

It would have been a massive decision for Jenkinson to leave Arsenal - the 27-year-old made 70 appearances for the North London club during a eight-year stay at the Emirates, but moved to Forest in August.

After the injury sustained by Tendayi Darikwa, that has seen him be ruled out for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Forest needed competition to bring to Matty Cash, who scored on the opening day of the season against West Brom.

Forest fans were left divided at this particular signing - despite making a fair share of league appearances for the Gunners, Jenkinson often came under criticism for his performances for Arsenal, and flattered to deceive on loan with the likes of Birmingham and West Ham.

Some, meanwhile, were fairly satisfied with this arrival - after all, it was a position that needed strengthening.

It has been a fairly solid start to life at Forest for Jenkinson, since his move from Arsenal a couple of months ago.

The right-back has made four first-team appearances for the Reds, three of those coming in the league, and one of those coming in the Carabao Cup against Fleetwood.

The 27-year-old has shown real solidarity and composure on the ball when he has been called upon by Lamouchi - as perhaps expected from a player who has made a load of appearances in the top-flight.

But Jenkinson's start to life at the City Ground has also been a frustrating one, with the full-back failing to make an appearance for the Reds since the end of August, in a 1-1 draw with Preston North End.

He sustained an ankle injury and has since been unable to feature for Lamouchi's side, and in his absence, Matty Cash has just got better and better at right-hack.

Cash has all the attributes of a modern-day full-back - unlike Jenkinson, the 22-year-old is more known for his bombing runs and his work in the attacking areas, and he suits Lamouchi's playing style to a tee.

Jenkinson faces a real battle to get back into the team when he's back to full fitness.
