Cardiff City suffered a season of relative disappointment in the 2016/17 campaign where they finished in 12th position, a season after narrowly missing out on the play-offs under Russell Slade.

Paul Trollope attempted to take the reigns at the Cardiff City Stadium but lasted just 12 matches before he was replaced by Neil Warnock who steadied the ship.

The team from South Wales are hoping to achieve much greater things this season and a way their chances could be helped is to make additions to the squad.

So far, five signings have been made by manager Warnock but he will certainly not be looking to stop there.

One played who Warnock should certainly consider bringing to the club is Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson who made his first senior appearance for the Liverbirds last season.

The Welshman, capped once by his country back in 2013, could be very interested in the prospect of signing for a club based in his country's capital.

For those who don't know, Wilson is a talented young right winger who is always eager to beat his man. He's not too dissimilar to other academy products from Liverpool such as Ryan Kent and Ben Woodburn.

At 20 years of age, Wilson has got a lot of time on his side so Liverpool will certainly not be looking at letting him go permanently but a loan deal might suit both parties.

It would allow Wilson to gain valuable experience of the professional English game in a challenging division while Cardiff would of course benefit from his ability to light up a match.
