Queens Park Rangers’ attention once again turns to the Championship after their FA Cup exploits came to an end last weekend.

Steve McClaren’s men were knocked out of the competition in the fifth round after going down by one goal to Premier League side Watford at Loftus Road.

West Bromwich Albion are the visitors to west London on Tuesday evening as the Hoops look to get back to winning ways.

After the second-tier matches at the weekend, QPR dropped to 18th in the division, just ten points off the relegation places – but with two games in hand on many of their rivals around them.

With the club defeat out the window, it extended the Hoops’ run of losses to six in a row, with five being in the league.

McClaren’s men, in fact, have not won in seven matches but gave Watford a fierce battle last time out.

The club’s supporters will be hoping they can take heart from the defeat and apply it to improve their league form, starting tomorrow evening.

With that said, this is the XI that should be fielded against the Baggies to stop their run of successive defeats.

McClaren will more than likely stick with this 3-5-2 formation he has been using to shoehorn Matt Smith in the side with Nahki Wells up top.

That should continue to be the front-line tomorrow evening.

A central-midfield three of Massimo Luongo, Jordan Cousins and Luke Freeman should give the Hoops enough in the middle to combat what the Baggies throw at them.

Either side of the trio will be wing-backs Jake Bidwell on the left and Pawel Wszolek on the right-hand side.

Joe Lumley will retain his place in goal at QPR’s number one, and head of him should be Darnell Furlong, Toni Leistner and Grant Hall as the three-man defence looking to stop the attacking threat and flair of West Brom tomorrow night.Â
