Aston Villa were atrocious for the vast majority of last season, humiliating the Villa Park faithful - and every player in the squad has to withhold some of the blame for the capitulation that took place at the club.

Therefore, there is no doubt that the attack have to take some of the blame for Villa's dismal campaign of 2015/16, the team only scored 27 league goals all season - finding the net at a dismal rate of 0.75 times per game; which inevitably led them to relegation.

However, with a new man at the helm that knows all about scoring goals in Roberto Di Matteo, the Villa Park faithful will be hoping that he can acquire attackers who can find the net and inspire the attackers already at the club to find their shooting boots.

In this article, Football League World writer Jack Sharp looks at a lethal front THREE which could definitely fire Villa back to the top flight at the first time of asking...

LW: Jack Grealish

There is no doubt that Jack Grealish is one of the most loved people around Villa Park, and if Di Matteo can help him fulfil his potential it could be a massive season for the talented England u-21 International.

There is no doubt that Grealish has a wealth of talent, specifically renowned for his dribbling ability and decent amount of pace.

However, Grealish wasn't able to materialise this potential during the last campaign - missing 12 games through injury. It is undeniable that Grealish is extremely talented, and if Di Matteo can exploit his strengths and Grealish can stay out of the treatment room it could be a massive season for the 20-year-old.

ST: Jonathan Kodjia

Kodjia isn't actually a Villa player, however he has been linked with a move to the club. This move wouldn't be a surprise, as Kodjia is an extremely talented striker with a pedigree in the Sky Bet Championship.

Kodjia currently plays for Bristol City, and is contracted at the club until 2018. He joined the club in the summer of 2015, and had an explosive first season in English football, scoring 18 league goals, and 19 in all competitions.

The 26-year-old could be lined up as a replacement for Ghanain Jordan Ayew, who is continually linked with a move away from Villa Park.

RW: Adama Traoré

Adama Traoré, perhaps better known as 'Adama' joined Aston Villa from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer of 2015, and although he showed glimpses of excellence, the 20-year-old talent endured a tough first season in English football.

He was restricted to only making a handful of appearances, accumulating a total of 11 senior appearances throughout the campaign, as he struggled with injuries. However, when he did play he showed how he can overpower defences with his power and wealth of pace.

If Adama can stay fit, and Di Matteo can utilise him well - next season could be a massive one for him.

So.. Villa fans, what do you think of these suggestions? Will Grealish stay fit? Will Kodjia join? Will Ayew leave? Will Adama stay fit? Leave thoughts and opinions below!
