Bradford City have confirmed the appointment of Ryan Sparks as their new chief executive officer.
Sparks becomes the youngest chief executive officer in the top-four divisions, having been promoted from his previous role in the club.
The 29-year-old was director of communications and commercial before being promoted to the role of CEO, taking over from Julian Rhodes.

Sparks will now look forward to starting his new role, with the Bantams undoubtedly keen to start climbing the League Two table.
It has been a tough few years for City, who have fallen into League Two and have failed to ignite any sort of promotion push since.
The Bantams currently sit 20th in the League Two table, and are only two points clear of the relegation zone after winning only three league games this term.
Here, we take a look at City fans’ reactions to this appointment…
Wish him all the best in the role and I hope he has everything success but this has a 'Micky Collins' feel about it….

Congratulations Ryan, I hope your tenure is a successful one and you can get this club back to where it belongs. Ignore the many negative pessimistic people who assume you’re doomed to fail because of age/experience etc. Give it all you have got mate

This is a suprising news ? But congrats to @Ryan5parks must have some insight into "where we stand" ? But needs to step forward quickly and present his "clear vision". The last thing we need is Julian Rhodes 2 !. Way its going we'll be up at Odsal with the Bulls Bangers n Bikes😏

If your support is dependant upon who the ceo is, we don’t need you. Glad I’m not in the trenches with some of you lot!

Announce it quietly whilst everyone is complaining about the Tier 3 news. pic.twitter.com/OFOOFzxllJ

This is the sort of appointment that needed changing at the club. Rather than just sacking the manager, we need direction and a real business plan. This seems a lazy choice though and no effort has been put into it. I really hope I am wrong, I am praying I am wrong. Come on Ryan

Absolutely superb appointment! Knows the club inside out, so no ‘get to know you’ period needed and can hit the ground running. Best of luck Ryan, expect this is the moment we finally turn a corner. Big things to now follow for #bcafc

Im not gunna lie… there’s fans with more passion, more knowledge and more experience. You may aswell have just invited all Season ticket holders for an interview. In the situation we are in we just cannot afford a gamble.
