It has been a reality check for new manager Frank Lampard with his Derby County side only picking up one point in their last two outings, by getting a draw at home to Blackburn Rovers following a surprise defeat to Rotherham at the weekend.

County host in-form Brentford at the weekend, so Lampard will be looking at secure three points to stay in touch with the early season Championship leaders.

But was a point against Blackburn last night good or bad for Lampard?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

He’ll think it is a bad one, I think it’s a good point.

Blackburn are a decent side, strong and organised with some talent going forward.

Derby didn’t play badly either, but they didn’t make their chances count.

When will Jack Marriott get a proper chance? For me, Nugent and Waghorn are not the players that will see Derby in the top six.

George Dagless

I think you'd have to just say bad - but only just.

Blackburn are a good side and I see them challenging for the top six this season - they aren't going to go away in many games.

It could be a decent point in the long-run for the Rams, then, but I think they'll always be disappointed to not win at home.

Jay Taylor

This is pretty poor from a Derby perspective.

Frank Lampard’s side had 22 shots on goal but only managed three on target. It was a wasted evening in front of goal for his side.

They limited Blackburn to just the six shots with Scott Carson being troubled only twice.

When you look at the stats the match should have been a foregone conclusion but a waste Rams lost out on two points last night.

I think after Saturday’s disappointing result against Rotherham, Tuesday night was the perfect opportunity to get over what was a frustrating Saturday afternoon.

Lampard will be ruing his side’s missed chances, and will also be disappointed at not creating as many chances as his Rams side usually do.

Blackburn put in a good performance against Villa at the weekend though, so it isn’t the worst of results for Derby who will now look to go on yet another winning run now.
