A number of Charlton Athletic supporters have been reacting to the latest report from London News Online reporter Richard Cawley that Ben Amos has a good chance of signing for Wigan Athletic.
Amos is a player that has been attracting plenty of transfer interest this summer, with his current deal with the Addicks due to expire.
However, Charlton did confirm within their retained list that they are keen to tie him down to a new contract and convince him to remain with them.
Charlton have already seen forward Chuks Aneke depart the club in a similar situation and instead of signing a new contract he elected to make the move to Birmingham City.
Ipswich Town have already been credited with an interest in Amos with them looking to add to their options in the goalkeeper department this summer.
That suggested that Charlton were going to struggle to keep hold of the 31-year-old and prevent him from leaving on a free.
Quiz: Did each of these 20 midfielders ever score a goal for Charlton Athletic?
The latest report from London News Online reporter Richard Cawley reveals that Amos is now someone that could be set to leave the Valley. He could be moving to League One rivals Wigan with it being thought there is a good chance of him securing a move to the Latics.
Many Charlton fans were very frustrated with this latest update and some were suggesting that it shows that they could be in trouble next term in terms of their promotion ambitions.
Here, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
I’m sorry but this is getting beyond a joke, joining Wigan? Fair enough he’s from that neck of the woods and we’re on a tight budget, but surely offering more money pw then forking out for a new keeper would make sense… what the hell is happening here? Cause for concern? #cafc https://t.co/3sIyLqek2k

#cafc If we really have ambition how can we lose Amos to a fellow league one side. Not sure it makes sense.

what would make him leave his number 1 spot to join Wigan? Is there a new keeper joining us that going to take his number 1 place?

What can Wigan offer what we can't?
