Leeds United’s under-23 side picked up yet another impressive result, this time beating Fulham on penalties to progress to the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup,

Ryan Edmondson gave the Whites a half-time lead thanks to a 44th minute penalty but were pegged back in the second half, falling behind just after the hour mark after two quickfire goals.

But Carlos Corberan’s side were not about to give up, with an Izzy Brown goal sending the match into extra time and then penalties after a goalless 30 minutes.

After an excellent display from Whites goalkeeper Joshua Rae, it fell to Gaetano Berardi to convert the winning penalty, which he did with ease.
