Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa could well be breathing a big sigh of relief this morning, after the club legend and agent of star winger Jack Clarke, Ian Harte, insisted that the 18-year-old will not be leaving Elland Road this January.

The comments come amid speculation that the youngster is the target of at least four Premier League clubs, following a break-through season at Elland Road where he has impressed when called upon.

So is Clarke staying put good news for Leeds?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

"This is fantastic news.

"Clarke has been excellent this season and it is clear that the Whites need to keep him.

"He's improving all the time and it makes sense for him to stay put this season."

Gary Hutchinson

“For both club and player, yes.

“He’s a boy who has developed well at Leeds, why would he move?

“They’ve clearly served his interests well in the past, they will do in the future.

“Best for everyone.”

Jay Taylor

“It is good news, but Leeds fans shouldn’t think he is a certainty to stay until the window is closed.

“Only then will the club’s supporters be able to breach a collective sigh of relief.

“Jack Clarke has a bright future in the game, and staying at Leeds is certainly the best place for him to be.”
