QPR have enjoyed a solid start to the Championship season, with Mark Warburton's side currently in seventh place in the table, ahead of the weekend trip to south London to face Millwall this weekend.

Despite a promising start, Warburton is still looking to strengthen his squad, with Austrian goalkeeper Heinz Lindner a target according to the Daily Mail, with the 29-year-old a free-agent, having left Grasshoppers in the summer.

So would Lindner be a good signing for QPR, or should the question be do they actually need a new keeper?

We discuss........

George Dagless

"I'm not overly sure to be honest.

"Mark Warburton feels as though they do by the sounds of things, though, and so that is all that really matters.

"The R's have started the season well and Warburton is clearly liking the job so I'd let him sign who he wants at this stage.

"For me right now the R's are one of those dark horses for the play-offs and so if he thinks the keeper will help that along then so be it."

Josh Cole

“This would be an intriguing move as Warburton already has a number of options to choose from in goal at QPR.

“With Joe Lumley illustrating some real signs of promise during the early weeks of the season, Lindner may have to settle for a back-up role if he does join the Hoops.

“Whilst the 29-year-old does boast considerable international experience having represented Austria on 22 occasions, there is no guarantee that he will be to adjust to the competitiveness of the Championship.

“Therefore, it may be worth Warburton reconsidering a switch for Lindner as he could instead use a chunk of his wage bill to pursue players who will be able to make a significant impact on the Hoops’ fortunes.”

George Brooks

"This is an interesting one. Heinz Linder is a good goalkeeper and he's got plenty of experience.

"He could be a decent signing for QPR on a free transfer, but they've already got four goalkeepers on their books, so you have to question whether they need another one.

"With that said, he's got more experience than all of the other goalkeepers currently at the club, so they should be able to learn from training alongside him.

"If he signs, it'll be interesting to see whether he starts games for QPR this season ahead of Joe Lumley. I think he'd probably have to settle for a place on the bench."
