Swindon Town loanee Jerry Yates has been recalled by his parent club Rotherham.
This leaves the Robins with just one recognised striker as the attempt to get promotion to League One suffers another massive blow.
Having already seen striker Eoin Doyle return to Bradford, Yates has followed in similar fashion and now the squad looks as though it lacks any potency in front of goal.
Yates made 27 appearances during his time at the County Ground, and became a fans favourite as he managed to net 12 times which kept the Robins on track to have a successful season.
Now, Swindon have to go about their business without the excellent left-winger and try and find another source for goals in their squad. The transfer window is still open for any future business.
Here’s how Swindon supporters reacted to the news that Yates had been recalled by parent club Rotherham…

If @OfficialRUFC take him back and barely use him for the remainder of the season, they deserve a slap.

When Yates got sent off at Colchester and left us short up front, Power did his stuff and got Doyle in basically next day. Time to repeat! Can Power afford another season languishing in league 2?

Now watch the slide down the table. Top 2 scorers in the league have both been recalled. We don’t have anyone else that will even come close to ED or JY. Oh well, was good whilst it lasted.

Out of our control and difficult to take…. concerned. Is there a plan B, C or even D. We are in trouble …

Gutted to lose him, but this is why you do t rely on loans. Come on Power time to sort this situation quickly!

This is an absolute nightmare. What's the point of a season long loan, when clearly that's not what it was?!

Incredible loanee. Whilst I want to cry, have been lucky to have a player of his calibre at the club.
