Cardiff City have announced via their official website that striker Omar Bogle has joined Peterborough United on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old linked up with the Bluebirds in the summer from Wigan Athletic, but has struggled to nail down a regular starting role in Neil Warnock’s promotion chasing side.

However Bogle has impressed when called upon, scoring three goals in only four Championship starts, and Peterborough boss Grant McCann will be delighted that the Welsh side have allowed the player to leave.

Bogle was prolific in non-league football with Solihull Moors before continuing his excellent run of form at Grimsby Town in League Two, which earned him a move to Wigan.

His ascent to the top of the English game continued when Cardiff came calling, and the player will hope to return to the Cardiff City Stadium a Premier League player should the Bluebirds be promoted this year.
