Derby County are still on the fringes of a play-off place in the Championship this season, with Frank Lampard's side in eighth spot just two points behind Bristol City with five matches of their season remaining.

A player who has stepped up for Lampard and played regularly has been 20-year-old Chelsea loanee Mason Mount, who has scored eight goals and made three assists in his 30 appearances this season.

So how should Chelsea fans be feeling about Mount excelling under Lampard this season?

We discuss........

Toby Wilding

"With an impending transfer ban looming, this is a welcome sight for Chelsea fans.

"Mount has demonstrated this season that he can step up to the Premier League, and with big names potentially on their way out without any coming in, Chelsea may need him to do so again next season."

Alfie Burns

“You’d imagine that fans will have been watching his progress closely.

“He’s playing some really good stuff under Lampard and many aspect of his game – particularly his goals – will remind fans of their former midfielder.

“There’s definitely a chance he could be gracing the Stamford Bridge turf next season and fans will be starting to realise that.”

Louie Chandler

"Sceptical.

"Yes, they will have been very impressed by their midfielders form but Chelsea hardly have a good record of playing their youth products in recent years.

"They'll therefore find it hard to get too excited by his performances."
