16-year-old Ryan Edmondson is set to be involved in the Leeds United match-day squad for their clash with QPR on Sunday, according to Football Insider.

Is this a wise move by Heckingbottom? Or is it too early for him to be involved?

We discuss...

Ben Barkworth

This is a great opportunity for Edmondson and it makes sense for Paul Heckingbottom to include him because it's the last game of the season, and they have little to play for.

Chris Gallagher

It's deserved.

He's impressed in the U23 side and with nothing to play for Heckingbottom is right to give the lad a chance.

Other youngsters have done well since coming into the XI which will also give Edmondson confidence.

Alfie Burns

About time!

I’m really looking forward to seeing Edmondson feature for Leeds.

The 16-year-old looks like a real prospect, and is more than deserving of a chance, particularly with some of his teammates misfiring.

Leeds have nothing to lose this weekend and it is good to see Heckingbottom taking a chance on the teenager.

Jay Williams

This is a very wise decision.

Edmondson has a huge future ahead of him and needs blooding into the first-team as soon as possible.

And with little to play for, why shouldn't Leeds give a hungry, young player a chance to shine on the senior stage?

He deserves the opportunity because of his performances at youth level and he can't be any worse than Lasogga, Ekuban and Grot have been lately.

George Dagless

A good idea from Hecky.

Leeds have nothing to lose and their senior strikers have hardly produced the goods this season.

Why not give him a chance and see what he can do? You'll certainly get a shift out of him as he looks to impress.
