Queens Park Rangers have enjoyed a torrid start to the season and sit rock bottom of the Championship having failed to secure a point so far.

Steve McClaren has gone to the loan market in attempt to change the Hoops fortunes and has secured striker Tomer Hemed on a season long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, as confirmed on the club website.

But can the addition of the 6ft Israeli change the fortunes of a struggling QPR? Is it a good signing?

We discuss.....

Jay Williams

Hemed is definitely an upgrade on their current options but can he be QPR's saviour?

There is a mammoth task ahead of the Israel international at Loftus Road and whether he can inspire them to climb up the league table remains to be seen.

Hemed might be starved of service and struggle to find the net, or he might prove to be an inspiration.

Either way, with their current options not scoring goals, Hemed's arrival is welcome in West London.

Gary Hutchinson

It’s not a bad signing.

Maybe I’m just down on QPR right now, but I suspect it’ll take more than Hemed to change their fortunes.

I’d like to be proven wrong, I certainly don’t want the Hoops to fail.

Their problems are far more deep lying than a forward or two.

George Dagless

This is a useful signing.

He's a good player and will add to their attacking options.

The Hoops need to improve defensively now though and that is what they need to aim for in the last week of the window.
