Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Leyton Orient striker Sam Dalby, according to Football Insider.

The 18-year-old is highly-rated at the London outfit and it seems Leeds have identified the player as a star for the future.

Dalby is set to undergo a medical at Leeds tomorrow.

Is this a good signing for the Whites?

We discuss....

Sam Preston

He’s another one for the future but he is a great prospect - this is a shrewd signing.

A friend of mine used to work down at Orient and I’ve heard Dalby was one of the hottest prospects on the books there.

He reckons he will play for England one day and he is only going to get better and better.

I wouldn’t expect much of an impact between now and the end of the season but it is a very good long-term move.

Adam Simeoni

Sam Dalby is a promising youngster, and could become a top prospect at Leeds in the next few years.

The teenager has show signs of progression this season at Leyton Orient, and has done enough to convince Leeds scouts that he could make it in the second tier.

Fans are unlikely to see Dalby in action this year, but it will certainly be worth keeping tabs on his progress over the course of the next six months.

George Dagless

Leeds are looking for new, young players and Dalby seems the latest.

Fans will be pleased to see that the club is staying true to the stated aim of signing young players that have good potential.

Now they'll be hoping to see them break into the first team before too long.

Chris Gallagher

This is a promising signing for Leeds.

It's highly unlikely that the youngster will play this season but Leeds fans should still be pleased that the club are planning for the future.

Dalby clearly has a lot to offer and if he continues to develop Leeds could have a very good player on their hands.
