League One side Luton have signed 26-year-old midfielder George Thorne on loan from Derby until the end of the season, as confirmed on the Hatters' club website.

Thorne is a former West Brom player who joined the Rams back in 2014, but serious knee injuries have restricted him to 61 games for Derby, and he has not made a senior appearance since March.

So will Thorne be a good signing for Luton?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

This is a quality signing.

Before all his injury troubles, George Throne was a player that was highly regarded and one that had bundles of untapped potential.

Without proper game time in a long while, the loan move could be mightily beneficial for the player and the club.

It could be a deal that gets Luton back to the Championship.

Chris Gallagher

A real coup for Luton.

The big issue with Thorne is if he can stay fit. Providing he does, Nathan Jones has got a classy midfielder who should thrive in League One.

He has so much ability and seems perfectly suited to this attacking Luton side.

George Dagless

Well played Luton.

The Hatters find themselves with a genuine chance of another promotion and they've sought to sign quality players that can get them there.

Thorne, I feel, will prove a top arrival.
