Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter, telling the club to sign up striker Jordan Rhodes on a permanent deal, after the striker told The Telegraph he was loving life at Carrow Road.

Rhodes 28, has been on a season-long loan from Sheffield Wednesday and with new manager Steve Bruce taking over at Hillsborough at the end of the month, there was a fear that Rhodes may be recalled to his parent club.

But with Rhodes scoring six goals in 26 appearances for Daniel Farke's promotion chasing side, should the Canaries look to sign him to a permanent deal?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

“Not just yet.

“Focus has to be on promotion at Carrow Road and say Norwich did get back to the Premier League, they’d need better than Rhodes.

“If they sign him permanently and win promotion, they’re stuck with an expensive player who might not cut it at the top-flight.

George Dagless

"Yes, this is a no brainer.

"If he wants to stay then they should get this sorted.

"He's not at top form but he is a damn sight closer to it than he was at Sheffield Wednesday.

"Keep him in the squad if he is happy."

Gary Hutchinson

“No, he’s done well there but Wednesday would want to recoup too much money.

“They could sign better for the £5m I’d imagine he’ll cost.

“He’s not started many games either, so however good he’s done, he’s replaceable.”

Jay Taylor

“If the player wants to stay and finances allow it, I see no reason why anyone would want any other conclusion.

“Sheffield Wednesday cannot afford him so he will leave and Norwich could be in the Premier League come the end of the season so it would be an ideal move for all involved.

“Rhodes has done well this season despite playing the understudy to imperial marksman Teemu Pukki, but when called upon, the Scotland international has been a reliable deputy.

“Daniel Farke should wrap this deal up before long.”
