Derby County's preparation for their Championship play-off semi-final first leg has been dealt a blow with the news that forward Martyn Waghorn and midfielder Duane Holmes are a doubt for the clash with Leeds United on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Derby Telegraph.

Waghorn limped off during the first half of Sunday’s 3-1 home victory over West Brom due to an Achilles injury while Holmes, who had missed the previous five matches due to a thigh problem, suffered cramp and was replaced after 65 minutes.

So, how big a loss will Waghorn and Holmes be to the Rams?

We discuss.......

Jacob Potter

"This is a huge concern.

"Waghorn has been their main outlet for goals in recent weeks, and he is a crucial player for Frank Lampard.

"Without him, I fear for their chances in this game against Leeds.

"Holmes has been a useful option to rely on when called upon, and they need all of their squad available for such an important game."

Louie Chandler

"Waghorn definitely is.

"I think Derby have enough in reserve to deal with Holmes, even though he has been great this season, but Waghorn they will struggle to replace.

"Lampard will be banking on either Nugent or Marriott being able to step up straight away which is definitely a risk."

George Harbey

"I think it’s a major worry for Derby.

"Holmes provides so much energy and tenaciousness in the middle of the park, so you’re missing that creative spark in midfield if he’s out injured.

"Waghorn may not be the most clinical forward in the world, but he gives them a different outlet up top, and gets the best out of Wilson and Mount behind him."
