Leeds United have been dealt yet another injury blow this week, with the news that Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi will face a spell on the sidelines.

The pair have been influential for Leeds thus far this term, however both will now spend a short period on the sidelines - Hernandez is understood to be out for five weeks following a muscular injury, whilst Berardi is also believed to be out for three weeks, after leaving Elland Road on crutches last Friday night.

This adds to the news that signing Patrick Bamford will also be out for four months with a knee injury, and below, we discuss Leeds' misfortunes of late...

Gary Hutchinson

This is a massive blow for Leeds - these two have been superb this season, key players without a doubt.

To lose Berardi is manageable, given that there Jansson and Cooper to cover.

Hernandez though is a big loss that might be enough to derail their automatic promotion push, for now.

Jay Taylor

This is a huge blow.

They say things come in threes and with Patrick Bamford out injured for a while, the confirmation that these two will be out for a while too is bad luck for Leeds on the eve of such a crucial game at Millwall.

It remains to be seen, of course, how they get on without the trio in their side, but one thing is for sure it will disrupt their continuity and momentum heading to The Den this weekend.

How unlucky have Leeds been this week? First Bamford, now this influential duo.

Squad depth isn't too much of an issue, with Jansson able to replace Berardi and Jack Harrison able to replace Hernandez for the time being.

If Leeds are to be dealt yet another injury blow, however, this could prove to be very, very costly to what  is already a somewhat depleted squad.
