A number of Birmingham City supporters have urged Jonathan Leko to go and get his confidence back at Charlton Athletic after the Blues confirmed on transfer Deadline Day he has re-joined the Addicks on loan.
Leko spent time out on loan with Charlton under Lee Bowyer during the 2019/20 season in the Championship and he managed to fire home five goals in his 21 appearances for the Addicks.
The following summer, Birmingham decided to bring Leko into the club from West Brom and hand him the chance to continue some of the promising signs he had shown at the Valley.
However, in what was a challenging campaign for the Blues last term, Leko struggled to make the most of chances that he was given in the side.
In his 34 league appearances, the attacker was unable to provide a single goal or an assist. Even reuniting with Bowyer did not make as much of an impact on his form as was hoped.
Leko has still had chances at the start of the new season with him appearing in four of Birmingham’s opening five league matches.
However, he has not been able to make a goal-scoring impact and the decision was made on the final day of the window to allow him to re-join Charlton on a season-long loan.
12 of these 25 Birmingham City facts are fake – Can you identify them?
Many Birmingham fans were swift to wish the attacker good luck and urge him to get his belief back and have a strong campaign and then come back to the Blues stronger next term.
Here, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
I said he needed this a few days ago and I'm beyond happy he will get a chance to prove himself somewhere else.

Honestly, I hope he starts banging them in and he comes back to blues stronger. He really needs to start firing to prove a point, he's not been good enough and had plenty of opportunity. Good luck Leko 👊🏻

Good luck Leko. This is a great move for confidence building and I think you'll come back next summer like a new signing
