Queens Park Rangers head back into action after the international break when they travel to Portman Road to face a struggling Ipswich Town, looking to build on the three points secured at Reading and the point against Derby prior to the break.

Manager Steve McClaren has been busy during the break though, with him looking to finalise deals to sign forward Lewis Walker and centre-back Charlie Rowan, who have both been on trial with the club.

Both players were free agents, Walker having left Derby and Rowan parting company with Watford in the summer.

So will the youngsters prove good signings for QPR?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

They have the potential to flourish at Loftus Road

With both of the players signing for QPR at 19 and 20 years old, then they certainly have time on their side when it comes to their development.

Both players have shown glimpses of their potential at youth level but they will be keen to get a first-team chance under Steve McClaren who has played a number of younger players in his QPR side this season.

George Dagless

Yes, this is a good move all round.

QPR can't go big with their signings right now but why not try and pick up a few potential bargains on the way?

The two will be eager to prove themselves at their new club and should buy into the somewhat enforced ethos of using youth at Loftus Road.

Gary Hutchinson

I wouldn’t say good signings as in they’ll revolutionise the team, no.

They’re promising youngsters and QPR have a way of bringing those players on.

It’s a good move to keep the young players careers alive, but it won’t make a blind bit of difference to the first team, not at first.

Louie Chandler

They certainly look like promising players.

I doubt they will have a big impact this season but will no doubt be of use to the Rs in coming years.
