Bolton Wanderers are on the verge of administration and a hefty points deduction.

News broke last night by way of an official statement from the club’s chairman Ken Anderson confirming his offer to repay a loan was rejected.

This offer being rejected means that the club are set to be placed in administration for a minimum of three months.

On top of that, Bolton Wanderers will now receive a minimum 12 point deduction and be placed under a two-year transfer embargo which means the club will not be allowed to sign any players until January 2021.

This is catastrophic news for a Trotters side who have started the season well on the pitch, despite trouble off of it during the summer.

Bolton’s players went on strike during the summer over unpaid wages and bonuses, but the club has had a good start to the Championship on the pitch, winning three and drawing one of their first six matches.

Phil Parkinson’s men could head into Saturday’s clash against Queens Park Rangers bottom of the league on a negative number of points.

The news was released late last night, and Wanderers’ fans are far from happy, to say the very least.

With that said, here’s how the Bolton supporters reacted on Twitter to the news of their impending entry into administration, and an immediate points deduction.
