Leeds United are set to wield the axe on manager Paul Heckingbottom already, according to Football Insider.

Hecky has struggled to assert himself and change Leeds' fortune since arriving at Elland Road, and it is now looking like his time is up.

Is this a good move by Leeds? Are you shocked by this?

It is hardly a surprise, as results haven’t been good enough.

Heckingbottom has had a tough deal with injuries, but ultimately Leeds have gone backwards under the 40-year-old and don’t look as good as they did under Thomas Christiansen.

It’ll be interesting to see where Radrizzani will look for a replacement, but Mick McCarthy could be a good fit.

This is a big call for Leeds!

He has inherited a poor squad, given youth a chance and not had a window to build his own team, so you can understand why people would say it's a ridiculous decision.

However, the results and performances have been very poor and even with that squad they should be doing more.

It doesn't look good on the chairman or board either that they made another big mistake.

What more can you say about Leeds?

The club just cannot get things right now and you have to genuinely feel sorry for a fan-base that has been excellent again this season.

It's not worked under Hecky at all but I thought he'd be given the summer at the very least.

Mick McCarthy anyone?

Gary Hutchinson

It really doesn't surprise me that Leeds are set to sack Heckingbottom, he hasn't been great at all. He's actually been far worse than Christiansen.

The problem is the constant upheaval the club is under. How on earth can anyone build a legacy when they're given a handful of games at a time?

If he does go there needs to be a definite plan that involves giving a manager time and patience.

What price on Mick McCarthy?
