Hull City face Burton Albion at the KCOM this weekend, hoping to build upon their excellent opening day draw at Aston Villa.

Boss Leonid Slutsky will earmark this game as his side’s first three points of the season, but will have to be at their best if they are to down a Brewers side coming off the back of a opening day home defeat to Cardiff.

Slutsky has been busy in the transfer market in recent weeks, and is reportedly on the verge of the phenomenal loan signing of Leicester City’s Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa.

Adding the player to the squad will make the Tigers deadly, and will seriously benefit fellow forward, Abel Hernandez.

The Uruguayan failed to find the net in his side’s opening fixture, but his movement and pace was a constant thorn in the side of his opponents.

Hernandez has struggled at Premier League level in the past, but during his spells in the Championship with the Tigers, the player has proven deadly.

The 27-year-old struck 21 goals in 37 appearances in his last second tier season, and will look to get off the mark this time round with a goal against the Brewers this weekend.

Hull’s fellow relegated clubs have had to spend this summer to bring in new frontmen, but the Tigers were fortunate enough to have a ready made, Championship quality striker in the squad already.

Hernandez will surely break the 20 goal mark again this season after returning to the league on the back of further top flight exposure, and could prove to be the key man as the Tigers go in search of their first win.

Slutsky will look to his star striker to lead the line this weekend, and Hernandez looks a sure fire bet to find the net in 90 minutes.

How many goals can Hernandez score this season?
