Marcelo Bielsa is looking to bolster his attacking options at Leeds United, with Cameron Jerome one man on his radar at this late stage of the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider.

Jerome, 32, has been with Derby since January, with the striker scoring six goals in 20 appearances as the Rams went in search of promotion.

Previously, Jerome has tasted promotion with Norwich City, with Leeds now looking to bring him on board to bolster their own promotion hopes.

Would Jerome be a good addition to Bielsa’s squad?

I did not see this one coming!

Jerome is a capable Championship performer but he doesn't score many.

He does work hard, though, and would be a different sort of presence for the club in terms of their attacking options.

He could be a decent addition as the club looks to keep things as fresh as possible.

Sam Rourke

This has shocked me.

I did not expect to see Leeds making a move for Jerome, he doesn't seem to fit Bielsa's fluid style of play.

It does give Leeds a different option up-front though, with Roofe and Bamford very similar types of striker.

Having Jerome's experience on the pitch and in the changing room could actually make this a really shrewd signing.

Louie Chandler

An unnecessary signing from Leeds if I am being honest.

It seems unlikely that Bielsa will ever operate with two strikers, so in Roofe and Bamford they already have decent depth.

It seems a shame to limit Tyler Roberts' opportunities further as well, as he hasn't had a chance to prove himself at Elland Road.

Jay Taylor

This is a strange one.

I don't think he fits the mould of Marcelo Bielsa's tactics and style of play.

Jerome, however, will be a different option should things need to be switched up.

He's a typical number nine but doesn't score many, so on paper, it looks like a pretty bizarre decision from the Leeds head-coach.

Christian Fuller

Cameron Jerome is certainly a top player at Championship level, but I’m not so sure Leeds need him.

With the likes of Kemar Roofe scoring goals for fun in the opening few fixtures, and Patrick Bamford still to come into the team, Jerome seems like a waste.

Whilst you do need multiple goalscorers to win league titles, I feel money needs to be spent elsewhere before putting more of the club’s income towards another forward.

Jay Williams

Although this is not the most spectacular signing, Jerome is still a decent Championship player.

His experience and physicality make him a useful back-up option, especially as a loan addition.

With Kemar Roofe taking the starting spot and Patrick Bamford waiting in the wings, Jerome is a decent third choice striker to have.

If someone is injured or needs rotating, the former Norwich City man can come in and make an impact.
