Wolverhampton Wanderers moved four points clear at the top of the Championship table last night, after Nuno Santo’s men eased to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Leeds United.

The home side dominated proceedings at Molineux, entering the break with a two goal advantage before putting the visitors to the sword following a red card for midfielder Ronaldo Vieira.

The former Premier League side strengthened well in the summer, recruiting a number of quality players from across Europe to transform the club into promotion contenders, and Santo has worked wonders in installing squad cohesion in such a short period of time.

Wolves have now won thirteen of their opening eighteen games, and it will take a minor miracle for the Chinese-backed side to fail to secure a top-flight return for the first time in what will soon be six years.
