Wolves will be aiming to make an impact on the Premier League in their first season back.

The club was ambitious last summer which was rewarded substantially, so they don't appear to be changing that strategy this season. Their relationship with Jorge Mendes means they can attract top players as well as having the draw of the Premier League as well.

Wolves already have a strong squad and a talented manager, but improvements can be made to the team, so it's likely that Santo has already targeted areas that need reinforcing this summer.

Here's the front three they could use next season in their usual 3-4-3 formation...

Cavaleiro would be the main creative threat in the front three due to his crossing and ability to break the lines with his vision and through balls. He scored nine goals as well as assisting 12 in the season just gone, which shows how dangerous he can be in the final third.

Wolves' system means that the full-backs provide the width when the team is high up the pitch which allows Cavaleiro and the other winger to come inside, so there is a close connection between the front three while they each provide a goal threat.

His numbers suggest that he is more than ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

Silva made a high-profile move to AC Milan in the summer, but his season hasn't gone as anticipated for the player or the team. His inconsistent form led to Patrick Cutrone being picked over him by Vincenzo Montella and Gennaro Gattuso. Nikola Kalinic has also limited his playing time by being picked over him as well.

Another move is likely in the summer because he doesn't fit in at Milan and he needs to restore his plunging reputation. Silva was a star in the making at Porto and he could remind people of that at Wolves, with the Sun linking them with an interest. Santo could get the best out of him because he can turn provider, be an aerial threat or be a poacher. Therefore, he could work well in Wolves' system.

Jota was one of the top players in the Championship this season, although his teammate Ruben Neves overshadowed him. He scored 17 goals and provided five assists from his wide position in the front three, although he came inside as the team moved up the pitch.

Silva would be the ideal player for him to work with because they can interchange roles due to their varied skillset, which would make them hard to defend against. The intelligent movement of Silva could be exploited by Jota and they would be a deadly counter-attacking force alongside Cavaleiro.
