With Wolves failing to land a big name striker before the transfer window slammed shut last week, many at Molineux will be looking to see if the club venture into the free agent market to add what could be a vital cog in their promotion push.

With a whole host of expensive summer signings made by Wolves this summer, adding another in the form of a free agent could well the ideal sort of move by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

One man who sits on the market without a club at the moment is full England international and former Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert.

The 35-year-old endured a poor time of things last season while out on loan with Cardiff City, but could still have plenty to offer in the right sort of set up.

Wolves have plenty of new foreign imports and players who have all the ability in the world on the ball, but adding someone like Lambert, who has top level experience in England and is a first class finisher could well be the ideal sort of signing at Molineux.

With Wolves having plenty of cash to throw around, it is not likely that wages will be an issue for the club should they wish to sign Lambert. His experience, knowledge of the game, and ability to bring others into play make him the ideal sort of free transfer for Wolves.

Wolves fans, what do you think to Lambert? Good signing? Let us know!
