Sheffield United's preparation for life in the Premier League next season has received a potential boost after Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer gave an update on what the future may hold for goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who has enjoyed a promotion winning loan season at Bramall Lane.

Solksjaer told MUTV “Next year, let’s see what we do with Dean,” adding “He’s obviously won promotion with Sheffield United and that’s been fantastic for him. If he plays a year in the Premier League for them, it might be the best thing.”

So how big a boost would it be for Wilder if he could hold onto Henderson for at least another season?

We discuss..........

Gary Hutchinson

“Huge boost.

“I think he’s wrong by the way.

“He should go to United, play their cup games and maybe the odd league match.

“That would be best for him, getting him in a United shirt.”

Ben Lang

“This is a major boost for Wilder’s side.

“Henderson has been imperious for the Blades this season, and United must ensure they have a strong element of continuity going into the top tier.

“Their defensive record has propelled them to success this season, and this element of their game will again be vital if they are going to survive.”

Toby Wilding

"This feels like a big opportunity for Sheffield United.

"It seems as though a return to Bramall Lane would be welcomed by every party now, and given his performances this season, this is an issue The Blades must surely look to force."

Louie Chandler

"I think so.

"I suspected from about February onwards that the Blades would have to get promoted if they wanted to retain Henderson and that now looks like being the case.

"Wilder seems to want to keep as much continuation as possible so if they can keep him it is a notable plus."
