Leeds United have undergone a major overhaul in their squad under new manager Thomas Christiansen, with so little known about the boss some people seem skeptical over his signings this summer.

Following the exit of left-back Charlie Taylor, the Whites seem depleted in the defensive areas; especially with just Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi filling up the wide roles in the back line.

If Leeds United don't want to hit a shortage crisis then Christiansen would be making a swoop for Everton man Callum Connolly, possibly on a permanent deal but at least a season-long loan at Elland Road.

The 19-year-old's Championship experience is somewhat lacking for an ambitious club such as Leeds United, however, he does bring that confidence back to the squad if there are one or two injuries endured throughout the season.

Connolly impressed during a loan stint at Wigan Athletic, and whilst he couldn't help salvage the Latics' second-tier status as they suffered instant relegation back to League One, the right-back was a stand-out member of a poor group of players.

He also adds that pivotal international experience to Leeds United, having accumulated a number of caps at various England national youth levels, currently plying his trade for the Three Lions' under-20 side.

Callum Connolly is by no means a regular starter for a promotion chasing outfit such as Thomas Christiansen's side, but he does relieve e a few concerns arising about the club's defence, especially regarding the depth.
