Sheffield Wednesday caretaker boss Lee Bullen has confirmed he is interested in being made Owls' manager on a permanent basis.
Bullen was installed in the role temporarily following Steve Bruce's departure to join Newcastle United, but the former Wednesday player now feels he is ready to step into the role in a full-time capacity.
This is the third time that the 48-year-old has held the position temporarily, as he has been involved with the club's coaching set-up since 2011 and held various roles such as assistant manager and development squad head coach.
So, would it be a good move for the Owls to appoint Bullen as Bruce's permanent successor? Or should the Hillsborough outfit go for someone with more senior managerial experience?

"Whilst Bullen would be a great asset to have on the coaching staff, he is just not ready to take on such a big role as his first job in management.
"His knowledge of the club would help if he took on the role but he is an unknown in terms of tactical knowledge, man management and ability to galvanise and lead a squad, so at this point would be risky.
"Instead Wednesday should opt for a manager with plenty of experience, particularly Championship experience, and Bullen can remain in his current coaching role and assist the new boss with his in-depth knowledge of the club.
"Bullen does know the squad very well however and he would have picked up different methods and management skills from the various managers The Owls have had over the last few years. It would be a risk to appoint Bullen, but it does have a chance of working well."
