There's a few murmurings around Sheffield Wednesday at the moment that they might just be about to turn things around.

The Owls have struggled at times this season under Carlos Carvalhal but they seriously look as though they have addressed some of the issues with wins over Millwall and, most impressively, Aston Villa.

Certainly, there is work to do before things have completely been fixed but the Owls look as though they are turning a corner and one man is the epitome of that - Jordan Rhodes.

Again, the striker is still by no means out of the woods but he is beginning to look like the player Wednesday thought they had signed with the confidence and goals beginning to return.

It makes you wonder, then, is he about to start firing Wednesday forward? The striker, when on form, has the potential to be the best in the Championship and, alongside Gary Hooper, the Owls could have one of the best strike-forces in the league.

Indeed, this could be the watershed moment for Carvalhal, where Wednesday see their two strikers hit it off and start scoring for fun with both well versed in firing teams to victory in the Championship.

Of course, we'll need to see how he does in the coming games but with the likes of Ipswich and Hull coming up in the next four, there will be chances for Rhodes to score and boost his confidence more.

Do that, and the Owls will be very pleased that they signed him.
