We do not have long left now until the excitement and monotony of the summer transfer window kicks into full gear.

After a thrilling season in the Championship there are certain to be a lot of names who have caught the eye and the latest story emerged today.

Football Insider today reported that top-six side Tottenham Hotspur were lining up a move for Bristol City full-back Lloyd Kelly, someone they believe to be a replacement for Jan Vertonghen.

But would he prove to be a good signing for Spurs?

We discuss...

George Harbey

"I think that this would be a very good addition for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

"Kelly has established himself as one of the best, young defenders in the Championship, and clearly has a massive future ahead of him.

"A left-sided centre-half who can also operate as a full-back, Kelly could be a perfect long-term replacement for Jan Vertonghen."

Ben Lang

"He would be a great signing who can fit in well at Spurs.

"Kelly has excelled when called upon in the Championship this season, and he has shown he is ready to play at a higher level.

"He may need to spend a season out on loan to boost his game time, but he would be a good long-term investment for Spurs."

Toby Wilding

"This could be a smart move from Spurs.

"He may not start straight away but Kelly has shown this season he has the potential to succeed in the Premier League, and he fits the attacking left back role currently played by Danny Rose nicely.

"With interest growing, this would be a smart move if Spurs can secure his services quickly."
