Nottingham Forest have been linked with the signing of Manchester City winger Morgan Rogers.

Rogers, who joined City from West Brom in the summer of 2019, caught the eye on loan in League One with Lincoln City last season.

The young winger joined midway through the season, yielding six goals and four assists from a total of 28 appearances in all competitions.

Another move away from the Etihad now looks to be on the cards for the 19-year-old. As per the Athletic, Forest among a host of clubs interested in his signature.

A loan move looks set to be the most likely method of getting Rogers to the City Ground, as they look to reunite him with former Imps loan star Brennan Johnson.

But Forest are also believed to be keen on a permanent move, and even though he could be worth around £9million, they could strike a heavily structured deal.

Forest are keen to add depth in the final third, particularly out wide after letting go of Sammy Ameobi and saying farewell to former loan players Luke Freeman and Anthony Knockaert at the end of last season.

Joe Lolley and Alex Mighten are their only out-and-out wide options at the moment, with Johnson playing as an attacking midfielder in pre-season.
