Leeds United suffered a sizeable set-back on Saturday when they lost 1-0 to Birmingham City at St. Andrews.

It was a loss that, coupled with Sheffield United’s win against Preston, saw them slip out of the automatic promotion places with just six matches of the season remaining.

Despite there still being plenty to play for, it seems that the Whites’ attention is already starting to turn to the summer transfer window, if reports are to be believed.

The latest rumour to emerge regarding the club is from Football Insider, who claim that Motherwell winger Stuart McKinstry has already agreed a deal to move to Elland Road in the summer.

A fee of around £400,000 has reportedly been agreed for the services of the 16-year-old, but will it prove a good signing for Leeds?

Chris Gallagher

“An exciting signing.

“Obviously, the youngster still has a lot of improving to do but he is clearly a really talented player.

“Leeds fans should be delighted that they are looking to the future and they could have a quality winger on their hands here.”

Toby Wilding

"This is a player who clearly has a lot of potential, so this could be a masterstroke for Leeds.

"To get him tied to the club for little cost would be impressive, and leaves the Yorkshire side facing little loss if he doesn't make the grade, and plenty to gain if he does."

George Harbey

“He’s certainly one for the future.

“Leeds have plenty of talented youngsters coming through the ranks at Elland Road, and the winger could be another exciting option for the long run.

“It speaks volumes that Leeds have forked out a six-figure fee for the player, as they clearly rate him highly.”
