Liverpool are in the mix to sign Birmingham City teen starlet Jude Bellingham, though according to 90min the Blues will not sell the 16-year-old in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that the Championship club are confident of turning down any bid for the midfielder and are determined to hold onto him until the end of the season, amid interest from Premier Leagues giants Manchester United and Liverpool.

So with Liverpool one of the destinations touted for the midfielder, do you feel Anfield would prove a good fit for Bellingham?

We discuss.........

Ned Holmes

"This could be a fantastic fit for Bellingham but it does come with something of a risk.

"Liverpool are arguably the best team in the world at the moment, have a fantastic squad and play an exciting brand of football.

"A young central midfielder, Bellingham could do a lot worse than learn his trade alongside the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Georginio Wijnaldum.

"However, the Reds do have a lot of talented young players already, so there is a risk of getting a bit lost in the youth setup.

"Bellingham is excelling playing regularly for Birmingham City and it would make a lot of sense for him to continue to learn at that level.

"A loan back to the Blues would be the ideal move for the teenager."

Jacob Potter

“I think he’d be a great signing for Liverpool.

“He’s clearly got something about him if the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in landing his signature, but I would be surprised if he moved anywhere this month.

“Bellingham has age on his side, and I think that he’d suit Liverpool if he moved to Anfield in the near future.

“If any manager can get the best out of him, it would be Jurgen Klopp, and you have to imagine that Bellingham would be keen to work under such a high-profile manager.

“Liverpool already have some exciting young players coming through such as Curtis Jones, but Bellingham would be an excellent addition to their squad as they look towards their future plans, with the Premier League title seemingly already wrapped up this term.”

Chris Thorpe

"It would be a great fit for any player, let alone Bellingham, however a move for the youngster at this stage of his career seems a bit far fetched, with the teenager still very much in the stages of learning the ropes of being a professional.

"If he were to make a move to Anfield, the Premier League leaders would almost certainly loan out the midfield man in order for the prospect to gain even more minutes of first team football ahead of eventually integrating him into the first team set up.

"For now it would be best for Bellingham to stay put at Birmingham, as it is a comfortable environment in which he can develop his overall game at his own pace before making a move higher up the ladder.

"Interest in the teenager's services is unlikely to fade over the coming months, however it seems highly unlikely that Birmingham will indeed sanction the sale of their young talent with less than a week of the transfer window left to go."
