‘This club is starting to become a joke’ – These Watford fans react as transfer confirmed

Watford have announced the signing of Dan Gosling this afternoon, with the midfielder agreeing a two-and-a-half year deal at Vicarage Road.
We are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Dan Gosling on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The 30-year-old had played in 15 games for the Cherries this season, but he was never a regular for Jason Tindall, and the arrival of Jack Wilshere knocked Gosling further down the pecking order.
As a result, a transfer had been suggested in the past week, with Watford winning the race for the ex-Everton man.
They revealed his arrival on their official site after confirming an undisclosed fee had been agreed with their fellow promotion hopefuls for the player.
Despite his decent pedigree, with Gosling having spent much of his career in the Premier League, it’s fair to say the fans are very underwhelmed by this transfer update as they don’t expect the new recruit to make much of an impact.
Here we look at some of the comments from Twitter…
3 year deal for a 30 year old? Yes we are clearly doing as much as possible to get us back up.
Please sign Vydra on loan, this club is starting to become a joke.— Umar (@MrAziizz) January 31, 2021
Weβre shopping at primark whilst our rivals are at harrods. Empty words of reflection by duxbury at the beginning of the season. #watfordfc

What is up with all this negativity??!! Watford fans, wake up. Weβre not in the prem anymore. This smells of a Ben Watson type of signing to me. Well played Gino/Scott. π#watfordfc
