Derby County’s dismal away record continued as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to bitter rivals Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this afternoon.
The Rams actually started the game pretty well, keeping the ball and looking to break at speed and they perhaps should have taken the lead when Tom Lawrence had a decent opportunity.
However, they struggled to create clear chances after that and they started the second half slowly.
Despite the hosts pressure after the break, the goal Phillip Cocu’s side conceded was all their own fault, with Jayden Bogle carelessly presenting Lewis Grabban with a great chance after a poor pass.

Derby applied pressure after trailing, particularly late on, with Jack Marriott going close but they couldn’t force an equaliser and it leaves the side stuck in the bottom half going into the international break.
As you would expect, this result devastated the fans and here we look at some of the reaction to the defeat from Twitter…
This is the hardest team to support this season and things need to be picked up. Playing from the back is not how to do it for the last time

Cannot understand why we never attack more against a very average team
