One of the most interesting appointments in the Championship so far this summer has been Hull City's appointment of Leonid Slutsky as their head coach.

With the 46-year-old Russian head coach making the switch from Russia to England, it will be interesting to see the direction that Slutsky takes Hull in.

Recruitment in this summer transfer window will be a crucial one for Leonid Slutsky and Hull City as they prepare for life back in the Championship after just a single season back in the Premier League.

One market that Hull City may turn to is Russia.

With Slutsky's expertise in the league and virtually no competition from the Championship, Hull City could potentially monopolise the talent.

If Leonid Slutsky does turn to Russia for new signings, one player who may be near the very top of his list is CSKA starlet Fyodor Chalov.

Since breaking through from CKSA Moscow's academy in January, Chalov has been a revelation both for the Premier Liga side and also internationally for Russia's Under-21 side.

Already this season, despite only being 19-years-old, Chalov has scored six times and provided two assists in the Premier Liga as he has led the line for Viktor Goncharenko's side.

With Aleksander Golovin linked with Arsenal, Fyodor Chalov could follow him and be the next future star to emerge from CSKA Moscow's academy and leave for England.

The attraction of playing in England and being given the opportunity to work with Leonid Slutsky, who remains extremely highly-rated in Russia, could be enough to persuade the Russian starlet to make the switch to Hull City if a suitable offer is made in the coming weeks.
