Luton are close to agreeing a fee with Bristol City for the signing of midfielder of Joe Morrell, according to the Telegraph’s Mike McGrath – and Robins fans aren’t best pleased about it.
The 23-year-old has made just six first-team appearances in seven seasons at Ashton Gate, and spent last term on loan at Lincoln City, where he featured 29 times in League One and was named as the club’s Player of the Season.
All of the midfielder’s four outings this season have come at international level, including last Thursday’s friendly against England at Wembley and then Sunday’s bore draw with Republic of Ireland.
Morrell hasn’t played for City since November 2018, the same campaign in which all-but two of his appearances came, but Robins fans have been left angry about his imminent departure.
Robins fans weren’t happy when they found out Morrell could be signing for Luton – with many confident that the Welshman international might have found a better move, especially after agreeing fresh terms as recently as November.

I was worried this might happen.
Walsh, Williams, Brunt, Bakinson, COD,Nagy, Massengo, Morrell plus Weimann, Palmer,Paterson , all going for 3 spots.
Doesn't add up.

Poor from if that’s true – not to be disrespectful to Luton but he is good enough to be in the first team squad

Hopefully this is just a windup! Class player who should be playing for us weekly!
