The final six games of the Championship season will be an antagonising run-in for a lot of clubs, whether they be facing a potential drop to the division below or chasing the dreamland that is the Premier League.

Fulham are one of those who will be hoping a late collection of victories might see them compete in the play-offs for a prospective return to the top-flight, after three years in the second-tier.

One department I've thought they have struggled in over the course of this season is upfront, with the Cottagers deciding to get rid of Cauley Woodrow and Matt Smith in the January transfer window, and loanee Chris Martin being the only out-and-out striker within the ranks.

Step forward £850,000-rated League One forward Billy Sharp who has been scoring for fun with Sheffield United in League One.

The 31-year-old has almost fired the Blades to promotion to the Championship on his own following the 26 league goals he's netted this campaign, and the year isn't over yet.

Sharp has always had an eye for a goal, but it's specifically this season where he has hit the headlines for all the right reasons and could be on the move in the summer.

Fulham manager Slaviša Jokanović will be searching for a replacement when Chris Martin returns to Derby County at the end of the campaign, and Billy Sharp would just suit his project and strategy at Craven Cottage.

Sharp has proven himself on numerous occasions during his career at League One level and now it's time to show what he can really do in the division above.

The service at Fulham is already there, they just need a striker who knows where the goal is.

This man does that and could possibly help the Cottagers' target of promotion in the 2017/18 campaign, if they don't succeed this time round.

Fulham supporters, would you welcome Billy Sharp to the club? Is he worth £850,000 or is that a bargain? Would he be the difference to gain promotion next year? Let us know your opinions in the comments below!
