It is an exciting time to be a Leeds United fan, waiting to see how Marcelo Bielsa will change things at Elland Road.

One thing is for sure: you can expect plenty of players coming in and leaving Leeds this summer as a major squad shake-up is on the cards.

Leeds have a large squad and that needs trimming, but more quality is also required to get the team competing for promotion rather than another mediocre mid-table finish again.

One area Leeds could look to strengthen is central midfield with Bielsa needing dynamic players to fit his 3-3-3-1 formation.

Would Preston North End star Alan Browne be a good addition? We look at his season in numbers and decide whether Leeds should move for him.

Browne was a key part of Preston's play-off push last season, playing 44 games for Alex Neil's side.

With seven goals, an assist and a pass success rate of over 70 per cent, Browne poses a threat going forward, which is something different that Leeds could utilise.

Bielsa demands plenty of hard work from his players and the Republic of Ireland international is comfortable doing both the defensive and offensive work with box-to-box midfield displays.

The 23-year-old is still very young but already has over 150 senior appearances under his belt, giving Leeds the perfect blend of youth and experience if he joins.

At the right price, this is definitely worth a swoop for Leeds.
