It’s been a slow start to the summer for Leeds United, who haven’t had the impact they wanted in the transfer window.

Marcelo Bielsa is desperate to add a striker to his squad ahead of the new season, with Leeds looking at the domestic market to find somebody to spearhead their attack.

With primary targets not landed, Leeds could possibly take a look at Che Adams, who is currently working with Garry Monk at Birmingham City.

We take a look at the forward’s 2017/18 stats in our latest FLW Spotlight:

Adams, 22, made 30 appearances for the Blues last season, as they avoid relegation by the narrowest of margins under Monk.

In the Championship, he returned five goals and a further two assists in an underwhelming campaign for all involved at St Andrew’s.

The 22-year-old averaged 1.6 shots per game and a dribble per game.

In possession, Adams completed 67.6% of his passes.

The Verdict

Adams did struggle last season in a poor Birmingham side, although he did manage to add a further four goals in the FA Cup and League Cup.

Despite some underwhelming numbers from last season, the 22-year-old could be a good addition to Leeds’ squad, if they are to widen their search for striking reinforcements.

Adams has pace and is still raw at 22, with plenty of potential still in his legs.

Whether he has enough to fire Leeds into promotion contention, is well up for debate, however, after such an underwhelming start to the summer, Leeds could do worse that looking to bring Adams on board.
