Many could agree that Queens Park Rangers aren't short of midfield players but they could do with defensive additions to bulk up the squad and provide more confidence in the back line.

The exits of Sandro and Karl Henry, to name a few, has left a hole in Ian Holloway's squad which could definitely do with being patched up imminently as they have returned to pre-season training.

This is why the west London outfit should make a move for West Ham United's £425,000-rated midfielder Josh Cullen, who is seemingly surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.

Cullen spent two buoyant years on loan at Bradford City where he prospered into a professional footballer and is highly-rated by a number of managers across the English divisions, who will all be chasing his signing this summer.

The youthful 21 year-old has featured in 55 League One outings and Bantams have seen him flourish into a top footballer, who can deal with any mounting pressure despite his juvenile age.

His statistics show Josh Cullen can play across the park in midfield, plying his trustworthy trade in a more attacking role as well as being suited to sit back as well, this really would be a suitable acquisition by Ian Holloway and Queens Park Rangers.

The only downside to him is his lack of guaranteed goals, which is something the Hoops are really desperate for, as his 102 appearances in his career up to this point has seen him ripple the net on just eight occasions.
