As it currently stands, Leeds United will inevitably miss out on a play-off spot following their poor run of form, and it's time the club started to think about their summer transfer business.

The Elland Road outfit are notorious for developing young talent over the years, and the current crop of first-team members who graduated from the academy have been successful in competitive football.

One man who hasn't had it all his way is £425,000-rated midfielder Kalvin Phillips who hasn't had such the impact he would have hoped for at the beginning of the campaign.

The 21-year-old may have featured on 31 occasions for the Whites under Garry Monk, but the influence the youngster has had is very minimal, and that could be likely to continue if he remains at Leeds next season.

Phillips most certainly has a future in Yorkshire, however, it's minutes on the pitch that he needs to burgeon and with the abundant midfield in the squad, the bench is the best he can hope for.

I'm sure there would be various potential suitors chasing his signature if Monk announced his intention to loan out the young man; mostly Championship sides who would all massively benefit from Kalvin Phillips in their ranks.

Like I previously said, the Leeds born-and-bread player will one day be a fan favourite at Elland Road but a loan move away from the club this summer transfer window is the foremost alternative to irregular playing time next year.

Leeds United supporters, would you personally loan out Kalvin Phillips, or does he still have something to offer in the first-team? Who else should be loaned out in the summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
